LRC to host Dublin Bus meeting
Dublin Bus management and unions representing workers at the company are meeting at the Labour Relations Commission today in a bid to avert strike action this weekend.
Members of the National Bus and Railworkers Union are staging a one-day strike on Saturday in response to cost-cutting plans at Dublin Bus.
The company is cutting 290 jobs and taking over 100 buses out of service in an effort to stave off major losses this year, projected to be around €30m.
