Man held in connection with Cork stabbing released

A man being questioned in relation to the murder of a 27-year-old man in Cork last week has been released without charge.

Eddie Gallagher, from Ardcullen died this day last week after being stabbed at Friar's Walk.

Gardaí arrested a 28-year-old man on Friday in connection with his murder, but he was released from custody last night.

A 27-year-old who was also arrested in connection with Mr Gallagher's death appeared before Cork District Court on Friday night, charged with assault causing harm and producing a knife in a fight.
