Man shot dead in Dublin inner city pub

A man has been shot dead in at a pub in Dublin's south inner city in what appears to be the sixth gangland murder in the city so far this year.

A man has been shot dead in at a pub in Dublin's south inner city in what appears to be the sixth gangland murder in the city so far this year.

The shooting happened at around 9.30pm last night at the Grumpy Jacks pub in the Coombe area.

A man entered the pub and shot the victim a number of times before fleeing on a motorbike driven by an accomplice.

The victim was rushed to St James's Hospital, where he died a short time later.

The scene of the shooting has been sealed off for technical examination and a post mortem will be carried out later today.
