NBRU to discuss campaign against bus cuts

The National Bus and Rail Union is holding a special meeting today to decide on the next move in its campaign against cutbacks at Bus Éireann and Dublin Bus.

The National Bus and Rail Union is holding a special meeting today to decide on the next move in its campaign against cutbacks at Bus Éireann and Dublin Bus.

Yesterday, members of the union voted in favour of industrial action over the two companies' plans to shed almost 600 jobs and remove 270 buses from service.

The workers say they are prepared to engage in all-out strike action if the two firms press ahead with their plans without agreement.
