Management at an aircraft parts factory in Rathcoole in Dublin have asked unions to enter talks aimed at cutting costs.

Lufthansa Technik Airmotive Ireland employs more than 450 people.

The company says it wants UNITE, the TEEU and SIPTU to enter serious and construction negotiations on a range of flexibility and re-organisation measures designed to maintain competitiveness.

LTAI says redundancies are not on the table at this time.
