Bus drivers protest at Dept of Transport offices
A number of Dublin Bus drivers and their families are protesting outside the offices of the Department of Transport this morning.
The demonstration has been mounted as part of a campaign against the company's decision to cut 290 jobs and remove 120 buses from service.
Dublin Bus says the move is a response to falling passenger numbers and is aimed at preventing major financial losses this year
The protesting drivers, however, say the cuts will seriously damage public transport services and will put their livelihoods at risk.
