ICTU to discuss response to pension levy

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) is due to hold a series of meetings this week to discuss its response to the Government's latest public spending cuts.

Last week, the Taoiseach Brian Cowen announced plans to impose a pension levy ranging from 3% to almost 10% on all public servants.
