Taxi drivers to protest at Dublin Airport

Dozens of taxi drivers will hold another protest at Dublin Airport today.

The cabbies, all members of SIPTU, want an appeals system against the decisions of the Government-appointed Taxi Regulator.

Taxi drivers staged a one-hour protest outside the Department of Transport in Dublin on Thursday over the issue.

The campaign began a week ago with a march through central Dublin.

Today's protest will take place outside Dublin Airport from 11am to 2pm.

SIPTU says its members are concerned about the impact of the issuing of hundreds of new licences on the existing industry.
