Four men have been charged in connection with a double robbery in Dublin on Friday night.

Three of the men raided a supermarket and an off licence in Fonthill in Clondalkin at approximately 9pm.

It is understood they made their getaway in a silver Volvo and were later arrested - along with another man - in the nearby Collinstown Park.

An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from both premises before making their getaway in a silver Volvo car.

Cash and an imitation firearm were found in the car.

Two of the men are being held at Ballyfermot garda station, the others are being detained by Gardaí in Lucan and Ronanstown.

The men will appear before Cloverhill District Court tomorrow morning.
