Conference to highlight world hunger

The AFRI is holding its annual conference in Co. Kildare today.

The organisation highlights the ongoing problems of hunger and famine in the world.

Former UN Assistant Secretary Denis Halliday will speak at the conference and address the issues which cause famine worldwide.

AFRI said the war industry is mostly to blame and is worth around $1,200bn a year.
