Army bomb disposal experts have carried out a controlled explosion on a device found beneath a car in the Ballyfermot area of Dublin this morning.

Army bomb disposal experts have carried out a controlled explosion on a device found beneath a car in the Ballyfermot area of Dublin this morning.

The device, which was discovered on the Blackditch Road, is due to be forensically examined by Gardaí.

Bomb disposal experts arrived on the scene at around 10am and declared the area safe at around 11.30am after carrying out a controlled explosion.
