Bomb found in Co Down 'was viable'

Police in the North say a bomb found under a car in Co Down last week was a viable device.

A massive security operation was launched in Castlewellan last Tuesday following a telephone bomb warning.

The device, which contained a large amount of home-made explosives, was found in a black car.

The area was sealed off and it was made safe.

Police say those responsible had shown a callous disregard for everyone in the local community.
