Talks aimed at agreeing a plan for economic recovery are due to resume at Government Buildings in Dublin this afternoon.

The discussions broke up yesterday evening.

Unions, employers and the Government are attempting to agree on where and how €2bn worth of cuts can be made to public spending this year.

The Taoiseach Brian Cowen has set a deadline of Tuesday for the conclusion of the talks.
