Missing woman investigation focuses on car

Gardaí investigating the disappearance of Cork woman Anne Corcoran are anxious to speak to anyone who has information regarding her car.

The 60-year old, who lived alone near Kilbrittain, has been missing for almost a fortnight.

Her green Peugout 206 was found on Wednesday in the Old Chapel area of Bandon. The car is being forensically examined in Dublin today.

The last confirmed sighting of Anne was in Bandon town on January 16, but it is also believed that she contacted a friend using her mobile phone three days later.

Garda Search Teams are concentrating their search around her house and near to where her car was located.

Speaking to Cork's Red FM, Inspector Brendan Fogarty says her car is crucial to their investigation.
