Bausch and Lomb workers go on short time

Around 1,400 workers at Bausch and Lomb in Waterford are to be put on short time working next month as part of the company’s cost cutting plan.

Employees at the global eye health company will have to take unpaid leave one week a month for the next six months.

Management has been briefing workers and unions on the move this afternoon.
