A 26-year-old Tallaght man has pleaded guilty at the Special Criminal Court to possession of a gun and ammunition in Dundalk last year.

Thomas Kelly, of Killinarden Estate, pleaded guilty to possession of a 9mm Glock semi-automatic pistol and 50 rounds of ammunition at Castletown Road, Dundalk, on July 19, 2008. He will be sentenced on March 6, 2009.
