Flanagan to give evidence at Rosemary Nelson inquiry

Former RUC chief constable Ronnie Flanagan is due to appear today before the public inquiry into the murder of Lurgan solicitor Rosemary Nelson 10-years-ago.

The inquiry is investigating claims that the police colluded with the loyalist paramilitaries who killed Mrs Nelson in a bomb attack outside her home in March 1999.

Mr Flanagan was chief constable at the time.

Mrs Nelson, who had several high-profile republican clients, claimed she had received death threats from members of the RUC.
