Further talks on Beamish site expected
A further round of talks are due to take place on future plans for the historic Beamish and Crawford site once the iconic Cork brewery closes.
Members of the National Conservation and Heritage Group met with Heineken bosses this week and were assured that "an appropriate and sustainable use" will be found for the site.
Beamish and Crawford is due to close in March with the loss of 120 jobs but its hoped the country's oldest brewery can be turned into a tourist attraction.
