Stardust relatives to resume protest at Govt Buildings

Stardust victims and families are planning a second day of protest at Government Buildings this afternoon.

Four relatives staged a seven-hour sit-in at the security hut in front of the complex yesterday seeking access to a report on the tragedy that was given to the Government late last year.

The report deals with the viability of setting up another inquiry into the fire, which claimed 48 lives in the Artane area of north Dublin in February 1981.

Antoinette Keegan, a spokesperson for the Stardust Victims Committee, has criticised politicians for refusing to meet the protestors yesterday.
