Ombudsman reports huge rise in investment complaints

The Financial Ombudsman's Office says it has seen a huge surge in the number of complaints about the mis-selling of investment products over the past year.

It received more than 1,000 complaints about investment products in 2008, an almost three-fold increase on 2007.
