Bank's auditors should have spotted secret loans, says Neary
Auditors who checked the annual accounts of Anglo Irish Bank should have spotted secret multi-million euro loans, Financial Regulator Patrick Neary said today.
Mr Neary, who has been forced to retire over the scandal, told an Oireachtas Committee that international consultants Ernst & Young are being quizzed as part of a major inquiry by his office into the scandal.
