Three women charged over teenager's stabbing
Three women were charged today in connection with the stabbing of a teenager in Co Down at the weekend.
The trio, aged 35, 20 and 17 have been charged with withholding information about the stabbing of the 18-year-old in Ballynahinch in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A 23-year-old man remains in custody under interrogation about the attack at a house in Windmill Park.
Police said the three women were had been bailed to appear at Downpatrick Magistrates Court on February 9.
Detectives are trying to establish if the attack on the teenager – he suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries – was linked to a rampage through the area that night.
A group of young people, at least one armed with a baseball bat, smashed windows in three houses and numerous cars in Windmill Gardens and Windmill Park on Saturday night.
