Priest tied up and threatened during Portadown robbery
Police in the North are investigating an armed robbery in Portadown during which a priest was tied up and threatened with knives.
The priest, who is in his 50s, was robbed of a substantial sum in charity donations and parish wages at the parochial house attached to St John's Church on the Garvaghy Road.
The thieves threatened him and locked him in a room as they made their getaway.
The priest later freed himself and raised the alarm.
The PSNI is appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious to come forward.
