Fears growing over missing North teenager

Fears are growing that a teenage boy missing from his Co Tyrone home since November could have been harmed, police said today.

Tyrone McFall, 14, from Dungannon disappeared from the home of a relative on November 29. There have been no confirmed sightings and he failed to contact his family over Christmas.

PSNI inspector Stephen Moneypenny said: “The fact that there have been no sightings of him gives me grave cause for concern.

“There is the possibility that some harm may have come to him.

“We want to confirm for sure that he is well. In the absence of that you may conclude the possibility of coming to harm is real.”

This is the longest period he has ever disappeared for or gone without contacting his family.

There were unconfirmed sightings of him in Dungannon, Banbridge, Co Down and Dundalk, Co Louth.

Mr Moneypenny added: “We are increasingly concerned because there’s been no contact with his family or anybody else over the Christmas period, which we would have expected.

“He has gone missing before but not for such a long period of time.”

Tyrone is 5ft tall and of slim build, with short dark brown hair.

The Southern Health and Social Care Trust in Dungannon is also keen to know if he is safe.
