Motorists warned of icy road conditions nationwide
AA Roadwatch is warning of treacherous road conditions in parts of the country this morning.
Road temperatures are as low as minus three degrees on parts of the N4 and on the N6 at Kilbeggan, while black ice and fog is affecting many parts of the north, east and midlands.
In Wicklow, motorists are being advised to avoid the Sally Gap due to icy conditions.
A number of vehicles have already become stuck in the area.
Severe ice is also being reported around Laragh, while the Balinaclash to Greenane to Glenmalure road is closed due to icy conditions.
AA Roadwatch says there is bad ice on the Cruagh road (R116) off Stocking Lane in Dublin and on roads throughout Kildare.
