Man dies as car hits tree

A 31-year-old man was killed tonight after the car he was travelling in hit a tree.

The accident happened at 1.30pm at Latteragh, Nenagh, Co Tipperary.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was brought to Nenagh General Hospital.

The scene of the crash was examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

There were no other vehicles involved.

Last week three teenagers from the Nenagh area lost their lives when the car they were travelling in lost control and hit a tree.

Stuart Donnellan, 14, Padraig Bourke, 16, and Adrian O’Brien, 17, were buried following separate funerals on Saturday.
