Schools to receive €26m in grants

More than 3,000 primary schools are set to receive grant payments totalling €26m in the coming days, according to Education Minister Batt O'Keeffe.

Mr O'Keefe says the Minor Work Grants will be lodged in the various schools' bank accounts.

The funds are designed to cover the cost of small-scale structural and mechanical works, as well as the purchase of PE equipment, window blinds and IT equipment.
