Gardaí release name of Laois road crash victim

Gardaí in Co. Laois investigating a fatal road crash yesterday morning are appealing for information.

Kevin Bergen (aged 18) from Middlemount in Rathdowney was killed when he was hit by a car on the road between Rathdowney and Abbeyleix shortly after 2am.

They are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen a male pedestrian wearing a light-coloured hoody, or who saw a red Honda Civic near the scene of the collision either before, or after it happened.
