Gardaí appeal for witnesses to Laois fatality

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal hit and run in County Laois in the early hours of yesterday morning.

An 18-year-old male pedestrian was knocked down and killed at Middlemount on the Rathdowney – Abbeyleix road.

Gardaí are anxious to speak to anyone who was on that stretch of road between 1.30 am and 2.30am on Christmas Day morning.
