An 18-year-old man has been killed in a road crash in Co Laois overnight.

An 18-year-old man has been killed in a road crash in Co Laois overnight.

It happened on the R433 between Rathdowney and Abbeyleix shortly before 3am this morning.

AA Roadwatch says the road is closed at Middlemount and Gardaí are at the scene diverting traffic.
