Search for two men continues in Waterford Harbour

A search operation is ongoing in Waterford Harbour this afternoon for two men feared to have fallen into the water this morning.

The alarm was raised by a member of the public who reported hearing a loud splash in the water near Arthurstown in Co Wexford just after 6am.

Two men are believed to have been in a small boat in the area at the time.

Local inshore rescue craft are continuing to search the area, but the Waterford Rescue Helicopter and the Fethard-on-Sea and Dunmore East lifeboats have been stood down.
