Man remanded in custody following Leitrim drugs seizure
A Dublin man has been remanded in Garda custody after being charged in connection with a €1.6m drugs haul in Co. Leitrim.
David Lawless (aged 28), with an address at Belclare Green in Ballymun, appeared at a special sitting of Carrick-on-Shannon District Court late last night.
He was charged with the possession of drugs for sale and supply and remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court on Tuesday.
Eight kilos of drugs, believed to be heroin, were found in the car Mr Lawless was driving, when gardaí stopped and searched it on Thursday night
