The National Union of Journalists (NUJ) is seeking an urgent meeting with Independent News and Media following its decision to seek pay cuts from its staff.

The company plans to freeze the pay of workers earning less than €40,000-a-year and ask anyone earning more than this to take a pay cut of between 2.5% and 10%.
