Exploitation widespread in Irish restaurant industry

The Migrant Rights Centre says it has found evidence of widespread worker exploitation within the restaurant industry in Ireland.

The centre has surveyed more than 100 migrant workers across the country and found that more than half receive less than the minimum wage.

Eighty-five per cent also receive no overtime or Sunday pay.

The Migrant Rights Centre is demanding that the Government stop delaying the introduction of legislation to tackle such exploitation.
