Army defuses two suspect devices
An Army bomb disposal team made safe two viable improvised explosive device's at open ground adjacent to St Theresa’s Gardens, Dublin 8, this morning.
Gardaí called the bomb disposal team who arrived at the scene at 9.20am.
The IED’s were set to detonate and packaged against the elements.
The Army said they may have been left to be transported for use at a later date.
A controlled explosion was not carried out.
The bomb disposal officer gave the all clear at 10.55am.
The remains of the IED's were handed over to gardaí at the scene.
