New houses in North stripped by burglars
Burglars have stripped a row of brand new townhouses in Newtownards, it was revealed today.
Central heating boilers, washing-machines, hobs, ovens and fridge-freezers were taken in the raids on the houses in North Road.
Police said the unoccupied houses – all eight in the new development – were hit sometime between Monday morning and lunchtime today.
A substantial amount of damage was also caused to the homes, said a spokeswoman.
She appealed to anyone offered the white goods in suspicious circumstances to contact them.
