SIPTU awaiting response on plan to save airport jobs

SIPTU confirmed this afternoon it has been in contact with Aviance amid reports that the aviation company is to close its operations at Dublin Airport.

The union said it was informed by the company late last week that it was closing its ground handling operations at the airport with the loss of nearly 160 jobs by the end of March.
