Woman held in connection drug seizure in Co Meath

A South African woman is in Garda custody this morning following the seizure of drugs worth an estimated €250,000.

The 42-year-old was detained in Ashbourne, Co. Meath yesterday during a planned operation by the Garda National Drugs Unit and the customs officials.

The woman is being detained at Kells garda station, where she can be held for up to seven days.
