Farmers to protest in Co Clare over Budget cuts
Farmers are to gather in Co Clare later today to protest against Budget cuts.
The march has been organised by the Irish Farmers Association and will include members from Galway, Limerick, Kerry, Offaly, Tipperary and Clare.
It follows a demonstration yesterday by the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers' Association in Co Offaly.
The IFA claims the Government has taken the easy option in the Budget by cutting the income of farmers who farm on marginal land.
However, Taoiseach Brian Cowen said Fianna Fáil is working for farmers.
