SIPTU warns of effect of public sector cutbacks on local services

The arm of SIPTU that represents local authority officers is warning that proposed cutbacks in the public sector would have a huge effect on local services.

Branch organiser Maurice Hearne says any drastic cut in staff members will undermine the provisions of local authorities.
