Offaly students safe in Mumbai
Twelve students and three teachers from Colaiste Choilm in Tullamore, Offaly are understood to be safe in the north of Mumbai, where authorities were today involved in clashes with suspected Islamist terrorists that have left over 100 people dead.
The teenagers and teachers travelled to the country as part of the Christian Brothers India Immersion Project 2008.
Foreign Affairs Minister Micháel Martin meanwhile condemned the attacks in India's financial capital.
Minister Martin said he will be speaking to the Indian ambassador later this morning to convey his sincerest condolences. He added that his thoughts are with the families of those caught up in the atrocity.
