Construction Industry Federation rejects national pay deal

The Construction Industry Federation (CIF) has decided to reject the pay terms of the draft national social partnership agreement and has called for a 10% reduction in pay rates in order to safeguard jobs in the sector.

Announcing the decision, CIF Director General Tom Parlon said: “The draft national deal negotiated in September ignores the reality of where the Irish economy and the construction industry are today.
