Drugs and ammunition found during Limerick searches
Gardaí in Limerick have discovered drugs and ammunition this morning during searches linked to their investigation into the murder of Shane Geoghegan.
Up to €50,000 worth of cannabis was found in the Caledonian Field area along with up to 250 rounds of ammunition.
They were discovered during a series of ongoing searches that began at 8am.
The operation is linked to the murder of Mr Geoghegan, the 28-year-old Garryowen rugby player who was shot dead earlier this month after apparently being mistaken for a drug dealer who lives near his home.
