Man shot outside Finglas pub

A 24-year-old man is being treated in hospital after being shot in the Finglas area of Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

The victim was standing outside the Cappagh House pub shortly after midnight when a man walked up to him and shot him several times.

He was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, where his condition is described as stable.

No arrests have been made, but gardaí say they are following a definite line of inquiry.
