European Parliament President visits the North

The President of the European Parliament begins a two-day visit to the North today.

Hans Gert Pottering is there at the invitation of Peter Robinson and Martin McGuiness.

Tomorrow, he will visit Stormont for meetings with the First and Deputy First Ministers, before addressing the Assembly.

Mr Pottering will also visit a number of schools and cross-faith communities in the area.
