Three arrested following Limerick drug seizure

Gardaí in Limerick have seized more than €140,000 worth of cannabis resin and heroin.

The drugs were found during a series of searches of houses and a car yesterday afternoon and evening.

Gardaí from the Divisional Drugs Unit arrested three people, one man in his mid-thirties and a 22-year-old were detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

Another man was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

All three were released this afternoon and a file is to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
