Large seizure of counterfeit goods in Louth

Gardaí in Co Louth have made a large seizure of counterfeit DVDs at Drogheda market.

7,000 DVDs worth around €140,000 were seized this morning along with 1,500 CDs, worth over €22,000.

Gardaí also seized a quantity of cigarettes with an estimated value of €8,000.

A number of cars were also seized. No arrests have been made.

Gardaí say the seizures were made as part of an on-going operation against illegal market trading.
