Gardaí investigate Cork robbery

Gardaí are investigating an aggravated robbery in Cork overnight.

It happened at Connaught Avenue at around 9pm last night, when three masked men entered a woman's house, tied her up and made off with a sum of cash.

They then fled the scene in a car driven by a fourth man.

Four men have been arrested in connection with the incident and are being questioned under section four of the criminal justice act.

They can be held for questioning for up to 24 hours.
