Police in North appeal for information after burglary

Police in the North are appealing for information after an aggravated burglary in Co Antrim.

The incident happened just before midnight last night in the Adelaide Avenue area of Whitehead.

Three masked men forced their way into the house of an elderly couple, who were asleep at the time.

When they discovered the house was occupied, they fled the scene.

No one was injured in the incident and it’s not clear if anything was taken from the house.

Police in Carrickfergus are appealing for information.
