An inquest into the death of Meg Walsh has recorded a verdict of death due to blunt force trauma to the head.
Ms Walsh's body was pulled from the River Suir in Waterford City on October 15, 2007, two weeks after she went missing.
State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy concluded that she received several blows to her head, shoulders and arms from a heavy object.
She said that her body was naked when found, but it was impossible to tell when her clothes had been removed.
